Personal:

In my free time I enjoy music. I have participated as a vocalist in the mostly optometrist “Power Band” at Power Practice conferences. I enjoy gardening for food and flowers. I enjoy seeking out heirloom plants and trying them for flavor and performance.  I enjoy sharing optometry with the international community. I have attended the International College of Behavioral Optometry (ICBO)in Australia and delivered continuing education lectures in Poland about pediatric optometry, congenital cataracts, vision and learning, autism, and the ocular effects of behavior medications.  I enjoy volunteering with students and colleagues to provide vision care in areas of need.

I am married and enjoy family time with my husband, children, and grandchildren.
