Brenda Montecalvo, OD, FCOVD, FAAO, FCSO is an optometrist and sought-after international lecturer who is passionate about the areas of strabismus and amblyopia, vision and learning, and neuro-optometric rehabilitation (NOR).
Dr. Montecalvo’s goal is to reach the world with the message that vision is precious, and it is more than 20/20 eyesight. She believes that optometrists who provide vision therapy are the keys to helping people have the best possible vision.
She is the author of Visual Secrets for School Success, co-author of the American Optometric Association (AOA) Brain Injury Manual, and conducts seminars on optometric vision therapy, NOR, and practice management.
Dr. Montecalvo is President of the College of Syntonic Optometry, Past-Chair of the AOA Vision Rehabilitation Section and is an AOA InfantSEE Committee member. She is Past-President of the Ohio Optometric Association, Past-President of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association, Co-Chair of the John Streff Invitational Lens Symposium, and trustee of the Vision Leads Foundation.
