In 2008 and 2010 Sylwia completed two internships at the Salus University (Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia, USA), in its optometric clinic (2008) and as a teaching assistant (Clinical Optometry Training, 2010) .
In 2012 she completed an internship covering the issues of contact lenses, low vision and pediatric optometry at the optometry unit within the Oxford Eye Hospital affiliated with John Radcliff Hospital in Oxford, UK.
Current employment
Currently I work for Alcon Polska sp. z o.o. as an Expert, with my responsibilities including carrying out training in dispensing contact lenses and preparing specialized programs and materials for ophthalmologists and optometrists.
Starting in October 2012 she has taken on a position of lecturer at the Laboratory of the Physics of Vision and Optometry at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, teaching optometry students about contact lenses and clinical optometry diagnostic methods.
Since 2008 she has worked at Skorupski Optical practices in Poznań, specializing in dispensing contact lenses, as well as in her own specialized contact lens solutions practice called Eye-Point.

Organizational membership:
Sylwia is a former chairperson and deputy chairperson of the Polish Optometry and Optical Association (PTOO) and since 2009 a board member of the Polish Contact Lens Association (PSSK). She is also an active member of the European Council of Optometry and Optics (ECOO), sitting on the Professional Services committee (since 2012). She is also a member of the European Academy of Optometry and Optics (EAOO).
